As our current colleague is retiring, we are looking for a new experienced and committed Regional Medical Director (RMD) who wants to help ensure and develop the medical quality within primary care for one of our business areas. If you want to work at a strategic level where you influence medical quality across several units, this is the job for you!

Our medical directors are responsible for their respective business areas. Urban areas and Greater Gothenburg are within the Västra Götaland region, and Skåne is a business area. Here you will have the opportunity to play a key role in implementing the overall strategy and ensuring that medical goals are achieved.

We are now looking for an RMD for the Urban business area.

About the position

You will be a sounding board for MAL and operational managers in their medical questions at the units. You will be part of our management team in your area. Together with the central medical director (CMO) and your RMD colleagues, you will drive the medical development in the group.

Your responsibilities include, among others:

• Ensuring active improvement work towards the Medtanken model and actively developing the model
• Monitoring and reviewing resource use and ensuring wise clinical choices
• Following up on methods for quality rounds and accessibility
• Collaborating with the business area manager and controller regarding monthly follow-up of medical key figures, such as medication costs, diagnosis assignment rates, use of labs, radiology, etc.
• Compiling quality reports that are done monthly together with the business area manager and CEO.

You report to the business area manager and CMO.

We are looking for someone who

• Has broad medical experience and a strong interest in patient safety and quality development
• Is a good communicator and enjoys collaborating cross-functionally
• Is analytical and has experience in following up medical key figures and results.
